The use of different valves in sewage treatment

• Large diameter valves

Butterfly valve, gate valve and globe valve, whose role is to balance the difference in pressure between the import and export of sewage treatment equipment to reduce the opening force. When opening, the bypass valve should be opened first, and then open the larger valve after the pressure difference between its two sides is reduced. When closing the valve, first close the bypass valve, and then close the larger valve. When opening the valve, the steam medium must first preheat the pipeline to exclude condensate, open the valve, should be carried out slowly to avoid the phenomenon of water hammer, damage to the valve and equipment.

• Ball valve, butterfly valve and plug valve

When opening the ball valve, butterfly valve, and plug valve of sewage treatment equipment, when the groove on the top surface of the valve stem is parallel to the channel, indicating that the valve is in a completely open position, when the stem is rotated 90 degrees left and right, the groove is perpendicular to the channel, indicating that the valve is in a completely closed position. Some ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves are opened with a wrench parallel to the channel and perpendicular to the closure. Operation of three-way or four-way valves should be opened, closed, and reversed according to the sign, and after the action is completed, the active handle should be removed.

• Gate and globe valves

Valves like gate and globe valves should be turned 1/4~1/2 turn when closing or opening to make the threads tighten better and facilitate operation so as not to damage the valve parts by screwing too tightly.
